A
talented visual designer and technical go-to guy, Marc Carson has been
involved with the World Wide Web since the early 1990s. In 1996, he
created his first website; this piqued his interest and he went on to
study computer science, film, and interactive media.
Marc has worked professionally in a variety of disciplines, including music for multimedia and the web, 2D and 3D illustration, print design, web design, and interface design. He is an award-winning artist and in 2004 was invited to teach graphic design and 3D design classes for Portland State University's Saturday Academy program.
In 2005, Marc's 3D illustration work was shown at the SIGGRAPH conference as part of the Blender software demo reel. He also enjoys working with developers of the Art of Illusion 3D graphics software package to test and improve new features.
In 2007, in addition to working as a self-employed web developer, he began teaching Computer Graphics classes at Mendocino College.
In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities, reading, watching films, and practicing martial arts.
Marc lives in northern California with his lovely wife and two cats.
