The challenge: Using any software you want, create an animated production logo.

This isn't a contest--just a challenge, and there's no firm deadline. Let's see what your ideas are.

Haha, I have an idea for one, but it might take me a while to put together.

May it be an evening star
Shines down upon you
May it be when darkness falls

I made this in POVRay 3.6.2 code coming up!

camera{location z*-16 up y right x}
light_source{z*-25 rgb 1}
#declare a0=clock*9.2-4.6;
#declare a1=-4.6;
#while (a1<=a0)
sphere{<a1,sqrt(32-a1*a1),0>*(cos(a1)),.3 pigment{rgb y}}
#declare a1=a1+.1;
#end
sphere{0,.5 pigment{rgb x*(0.5*sin(clock*6.28*5))}}

Thanks, I was going for a poison ivy type leaf, been playing some LEGO Batman recently and its a very fun game.

I'm working for a little sound for it but that is kind of a preview.

Been wanting to catch up with the new "Day the Earth Stood Still": too and so I got a bit of an idea for it from the way Keanu Reeve's eyes looked like a reflection of the earth on the cover art.

Combining that with some stuff I've already been reading about fractals and black holes I decided on that logo, I will probably try to improve it some more.

The key to the whole doomseer idea is based somewhat around the story of Joshua from the Old Testament (Hebrew meaning Salvation or Saviour) and they are also coming out with a new Legend of Zelda: A Link between worlds video game.

So there is this thing in LOZ called the triforce, and that combined with LEGO Batman gave me the idea to go with a bit of a three leaf clover, combined even again with strider doing his stuff with stonehenge.

So I wound up trying to combine some Big Buck Bunny and Sintel ideas, I'm wanting to make a toon based on the idea of Heavy Gear, especially the end scene where they say "the prophets wept"

Guess I've been watching too many Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles clips lately LOL.

Favorite kids books I'm rereading on these days are A Wrinkle in Time and The Hobbit as well.  So I recently read one of Tolkien's older stories about a toy dog that comes to life at night.

It all streamed into this final thing that reminded me of the last movie I remember blender people doing that was really good, that movie about The Book of Kells.

So all of those are combining into a big story in Hollywood right now and there are alot of cool books coming out revolving around how Tolkien helped CS Lewis get through depression and so on, and it still has me wanting to see the full movie of "The Secret of Kells"

Anyway I'll try to find it somewhere online or at a book store... but that was the main inspiration, alot of stuff blender has been doing big_smile
