I'm testing apply distortion tool, just to test what is it used for. And i get results for Bend and Twist, but nothing for Shutter. It's supposed to make an object exploit. But nothing happen.
I made the test over plain PM meshes, over simple meshes, and over triangle mesh objects, and over PM objects.
Maybe it's out of date? But it gives no errors. It have a lot of parameters, and i tried to modify some, but with no luck. Any clue?

Hmm.. With my copy of AoI, the Apply Distortion script fails with an error when I try Shatter.
If you want to see the Shatter effect, though, you can add it as an animation track to an object. (Animation>Add Track to Selected Objects>Distortion>Shatter)
Then move the animation timeline forward, use the Animate part of the Preview Plugin, preview the animation, or render an animation.
You can adjust the Shatter settings by double-clicking the Shatter track for your object (in the animation timeline).

Hi Mayid,
...I've used the shatter effect some time ago in a race-animation. The Shatter settings cause errors if the size of the flying particles is to small and if you tell the flying triangles to disband after some time. I guess it only works with trimeshes also. Maybe you'd like to run my file? It is here: http://rapidshare.com/files/339503224/race.zip.html I've done this animation with AoI 2.7.1. and you will find the shatter effect applied to an object called "Brücke"

Hi, Siri. I do saw you race file. But nevermind. I'm just curious about scripts we have in the repository... and i'll maybe not up to use this script by now.
Just notice i'm not getting an error with shatter distortion. Today i tested it, and it does generate a new object, and the object is fragmented. But the parts remains together.
