Thank you for sharing that. Especially when working on it, I saw how innovative you've been with those textures and winding that rope. Shape of the blade is great too.
I still don't understand how you got that rope around the handle!
Yeah, for showing structure you need lights. I took a run with your scene:
How you used an image texture for bump, very original and it works well.
I scaled the whole scene down, it was on a huge scale! Had to rework the textures too, displacement doesn't scale with it. Lighted it and made a background. Hope you like it.
I wanted to lay the rope and knife on the 'rocks' but that is very hard on a curved mesh.
Here is the edited scene.
I took a look at the scene and I must say you're pretty good with textures...
The scene was in a huge scale so that everything looked better... And besides in a smaller one the Camera was caught in the displacement of the Rope.
I believe that positioning was hard, because there are no skeletons in the scene...
And I do like the picture... The bumps are clearly seen!
[Edit : To understand how I wrapped the Rope around just move one part of it.]
